What is First Flush?
First Flush is a daytime event series that bridges underground electronic music with health-oriented culture rooted in 养生 — the Chinese practice of nourishing life. We believe techno doesn't have to happen at 2am in a dark room. We build spaces for dancing, resting, reading, and drinking tea — all at once, in the daylight.
Each event is free of substances, welcoming to the LGBTQIA+ community, and designed as an accessible third space. We're based in Baltimore and rooted in the community at AREA 405.
Stone Chamber Collective
Legend tells of a woodcutter who entered Stone Chamber Mountain and paused to listen to a group of immortals making music. When he finally returned home, generations had passed.
Stone Chamber Collective is founded on that possibility: that sound can alter our experience of time. Through experimental music, we create spaces where people can step outside the ordinary, linger in the unknown, and share moments that feel longer, deeper, and stranger than the clock allows.
